Hi friends,
In the morning, I will finish the 10th round of radiation treatment – knocking out cancer and all its fiendish plans for my life with a 1,2 punch and a smile on my face.
Can I hear a hallelujah? High fives anyone?
I wanted to give a shout to all those who’ve been driving me to treatments this week.
Thanks Charla Janecka, Chelsea Seaton, Penny Spurling and Jon and Laurinda Dunn. It’s momentarily embarrassing to depend upon others for a ride. After the initial flush of vulnerability, I have found these morning visits to be a great perk in my treatment plan. I have had the deepest spiritual conversations, the sweetest laughs and experienced the pleasure of being cared for. Thanks friends for helping me to be better at asking for and receiving your love!
A special shout to this one who’s been driving me around the most. She’s put up with early mornings, late evenings, extra errands, a cranky mom, a non-stop-talk-box mom and a lot more. Thanks Ashley for making special time to help me.
I’ve also been receiving the sweetest gifts – notes, flowers, jewelry, gift cards, food, an “ugly doll” of courage and lots and lots of prayers and hugs. I am extraordinarily blessed. Thanks to each and every one of you for your thoughtfulness.
Next week things will slow down for a few days and I’ll just rest and allow my brain to become completely healthy. Less rides – more time at home – that sounds pretty great to me!
So – maybe it’s a little late for me to be posting my thoughts. I’m sitting here cracking myself up and hoping my sense of humor translates. As I giving myself the best medicine (laughter) I thought of this verse. I pray it will be true in my life and in yours.
Watch tomorrow for my latest post!
Much love,
Jan
You are stronger than you feel, better than you think, more courageous than you can tell, taller than you can stand, and more beautiful than you’ll ever know. God created you out of purpose, with a purpose, for a purpose. It ain’t over til it’s over. When it’s over, it’s over. Okay, time for some boxing! Let me know when you’re ready to join me! 🙂 Love you, Oh Great Woman of Strength and Laughter! ❤

Hallelujahs and high-fives for sure!! Praying next week is a time of healing and rest — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. ((Hugs!))
